Helen Morrish

Helen Morrish had a dream – to dance and travel. After graduating from MDDCDance her dreams exceeded her expectations!

Helen Morrish

I graduated July 2003 with a Diploma in Musical Theatre and Associate Ballet, Modern, Ballroom and National Dance.

My first job was for Warner Holidays where I danced in the evening shows and worked as an Entertainer during the day.

Passionate about working in theatre I left Warner’s after three months and joined a national theatre tour with the Panto Company’s new musical The Forgotten Nursery. I played Elizabeth the ballerina doll and enjoyed acting as well as dancing and singing.

Feeling I still hadn’t fulfilled my ambition, I decided to postpone the acting and follow my dream to have a dance career and travel.

I was fortunate to spend amazing years performing in pantomimes, summer seasons in the UK, Greece and in television. I met wonderful friends and created unforgettable memories.

In 2006 I was offered my first cruise with MSC cruises. Over the last seven years I have enjoyed travelling the world and have worked as a Dancer, Dance Captain, Company Manager and more recent years as Assistant Director for a Production company within MSC.

In 2010 I saw an opportunity to open a Performer’s Agency and send dancers and singers to contracts onboard MSC. I am now the production company’s main Dance Agent.

I have been fortunate enough to expand on the agency and am now an Agent for numerous UK and international pantomime companies offering seasonal work.

Despite running a full time Agency and being in my 30’s, I am still passionate about performing and manage to juggle both careers.

I dance at Legends, Blackpool in the summer and embark as Assistant Director and Dancer onboard MSC throughout the winter.

Merseyside Dance and Drama Centre have offered me wonderful support as a performer and now agent.

Since opening the Agency, I have proudly offered MDDCDance graduates work. I look forward to representing future graduates and helping them to fulfil their dreams.
