Kelly Woodcock 2011

Kelly Galano (previously Woodcock) graduated in 2011. Here she is in her own words.

Kelly Galano

I graduated from Merseyside Dance and Drama Centre in the year 2011 aged 19. Soon after graduation I started my first professional contract as a dancer working for MSC Cruises on the MSC Splendida.

Following my contract on the ship I took a six month temporary job working as a main teacher for the Laura Wilson School of Dance in Cheshire covering maternity leave.

In 2013 keen to pursue my performance career I embarked as a dancer on the MSC Magnifica and was assigned the position of Dance Captain for that season. A role in which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Following this contract I continued on to accept two more contracts on the same ship the MSC Splendida in 2014 with my first contract as Dance Captain then progressing further to become Production Manager for the MSC Splendida in 2015.

I will now embark for my fifth professional dance contract with MSC Cruises on the MSC Poesia where I will continue to fulfil my dream of dancing on stage.

During my breaks at home between contracts I continue to teach dance classes at the Laura Wilson School of Dance and schools in my local area.

I will always be thankful to MDDC and their wonderful teachers for inspiring and encouraging me throughout my three years there. It is a time I will never forget.
