Terence Rodia graduated from Merseyside Dance and Drama Centre in 2004 but what has he been up to since then? He tells us here in his own words…
After college I started working as a dancer for PGT Entertainment on board the 6 star cruise liner Regent Seven Seas (formerly Radisson Seven Seas).
After two contracts as a dancer, I was asked to join the company as a choreographer. This started by teaching one extra show to a cast on board a ship for the World Cruise, then I was flown to a different ship to teach three shows to a different cast.
Impressed with my work, they offered me a position as a resident choreographer with the company. After a year of re-teaching shows already created for Princess Cruises and Regent Seven Seas, I was involved in the creative process of brand new set of shows on Regent Seven Seas Mariner and Regent Seven Seas Voyager and was in charge of the cast changes for the Regent side of the company, also holding their auditions in London.
In 2008 I decided I still wanted to perform, so I started working in Musical Theatre. I did We Will Rock You as swing, Wicked ensemble and Grease as Sonny.
After that I was approached by Aida Cruises and since February 2013 I’ve been a choreographer for Aida Cruises based in Hamburg, Germany.
In 2012 I opened my own company, Global Productions London Ltd, an agency that provides entertainment for events. Some of the clients are Attitude Magazine, A Place in the Sun and Stream Publishing.
In 2013 I expanded the company and created the subdivision Global Management London, an agency that represents Actors, Singers and Dancers for West End, Cruises, TV and Film and Shows.
Also from November 2013 I will be performing the role of Indio in West Side Story at the Komische Opera House in Berlin.
