In the final post of our series about life at MDDCDance we find out what it’s like facing the final months of hard work before embarking on a performance career.
Third year – Josh Armstrong
Walking down Camden Street and into the building it only dawned on me when I signed in as a second year that it’s not actually my second year but my third and final year at Merseyside Dance and Drama Centre!
First year was exciting, second year went so quickly but this year is all about priorities and achieving goals you set on Day One. As I walk through reception I see the third year graduate photographs – this will be me in ten months time!
It’s strange how a building that was once so alien to me has now become my second home. I receive my third year timetable and already can sum up which days will be the most challenging.
I’ve experienced every emotion here at MDDCDance, with ups and downs, but I know I have made some friends and memories for life. At first the thought of moving to a city and attending somewhere full of talented people petrified me. Dance and drama aside, MDDCDance has made me grow as a person and I am finally starting to feel excited to go out and start my own career, and to me that is priceless.
